Recently I had the great fortune to attend Women Warriors: The Voices of Change, at Lincoln Center in New York, led by Amy Andersson, conductor with Orchestra Moderne NYC, and to say that it was earth-shattering would be an understatement. From their description: “Women Warriors: The Voices of Change is a ground-breaking concert creation that honors the strength and heroism of global activists fighting for social justice, human and civil rights, environmental causes, minority rights, gender equality and for the right of every girl to have access to education.  A cultural tour de force whose time has come, this project highlights the achievements of past and current activists who have risked their lives in the name of women’s rights.”This is a celebration of women activists over the centuries who have been fighting for social justice, and I was so moved that I knew I had to share this with my audience.

In this episode I am truly honored to introduce you to Amy Andersson, the creative force behind Women Warriors, as she talks about how she came up with the idea for this event, why it’s so important, and where she hopes to take it in the future.
