Scientific research in relation to positive psychology has proven that emotions are contagious up to three degrees of separation. It’s a fact: the way we show up to the people around us has a direct effect on how our social environment responds. In consequence, how we work with our own emotions is crucial, and learning to do so can become a powerful tool for our own self-improvement and the betterment of those around us.

In this episode of The PurposeGirl Podcast, I’m fortunate to be joined by Ilana Nankin, an award-winning entrepreneur, master educator, and expert yoga trainer committed to using wellness as a vehicle for social change. Ilana shares with us how taking up yoga lessons was a life changing experience for her, and how she went from being an overwhelmed teacher at an under-resourced school in San Francisco, to starting a revolutionary movement that aims to enhance the health and wellbeing of the overall educative community.
